Hello! I’m Leslie Sousa Metcalf, a passionate encourager and author who believes in the transformative power of joy and faith.

 

Born and raised in the beautiful valley of California, I’ve dedicated my life to uplifting others through mentorship, writing, and community service.

 

Dedication to Serving up JOY

 

1. Empowering Stories: In February of 2020, right before Covid19 struck the world, I was also struck with a breast cancer diagnosis. As a breast cancer survivor, I share my journey to inspire resilience and hope, helping others find strength in their own challenges.

 

2. Rich Experience: With 39 years in government service and leadership roles, including mentoring for Focus on the Family and training for the Federal Judicial Center, I bring a wealth of practical insights to my speaking engagements.

 

3. Dynamic Speaker: As a women’s ministry leader at Calvary Chapel, I’ve had the privilege of speaking at various retreats and conventions. My favorite topic, Spiritual Decluttering, helps others shed what holds them back and embrace their true selves. I also am also a Certified Real Colors Instructor.

 

4. Published Author: I’ve written five books, including Let the Son Shine In and A Walk Around Israel. My writing reflects my journey and serves as a source of encouragement for readers seeking joy and purpose.

 

5. Tender Heart: My passion lies in comforting others, echoing the love and support I’ve received from Christ. I create a warm, inviting atmosphere in my talks that fosters connection and healing.

 

A Bit About Me: 

 

I’ve been blessed with a wonderful family—my husband, our two adorable Shih Tzus, Aslan and Koda, and our two grown sons. Recently, we welcomed our first grandchild, adding even more joy to our lives! When I’m not speaking or writing, you can find me serving in women’s ministry at Calvary Chapel, where I aim to uplift those around me.
